The St.Gallen Institute of Management in Asia

The St.Gallen Institute of Management in Asia (SGI) is the University of St.Gallen's permanent local presence in Asia. The SGI serves as a platform for teaching, research, and services with its mandate to connect business leaders and students in Asia and Europe alike.

The SGI offers numerous programmes for bachelor, master, and executive students. A prime example is our Asia Term, the flagship exchange programme for undergraduate students of the University of St.Gallen. Our teaching focuses on practical relevance and applied learning. Our over 90 local and international corporate partners include some of the largest and most established multinational enterprises, innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, and cutting-edge technology startups. Representatives from our partners actively participate in our programmes as guest lecturers, clients for consulting projects, and hosts for corporate visits. Through such exposure, our students and participants experience Asian business cultures and ways of life. They get a personal impression of our holistic university education at the University of St.Gallen and at the same time experience the sophisticated culture and economic strength of Southeast Asia live on site.
